Found!

Last Saturday at CHYPS we had an epic game of Hide'n'Seek. We played some variations on the traditional 'oldie but a goodie'. The blackout edition, where we turned out all the lights in the complex was awesome. And eventually everyone was found!

Enzro told us some stories of when he was a child, including how he was afraid of the dark for many years. We heard some really bad Dad jokes, and some good ones too - thanks to Ruard and everyone who contributed! Roslind and Enzro finished off our God-time with an awesome song, and it was great to see some of our youth singing along.

Thanks to Anne (Jack's Mum) and Carol for serving up a delicious supper of hot savouries, chocolate fish and chocolate cupcakes - delicious!

Hope you all have an awesome month, until the next CHYPS... go well and remember that you're pretty special, and God loves you just the way you are. :o)

July at CHYPS was full of raucous games, much laughter, fun and of course our scrummy supper.

CHYPS at Mega Air

What an amazing privilege it was to host our Youth Group at Mega Air! From playing trampoline dodge-ball to sharing community and grace over food - the evening was filled with fun, laughter and above all, the peace and love of Jesus.

I would like to thank everyone on our team for the organisational assistance and prayer that was offered to help make CHYPS happen this month (especially Team Gray for helping with supervision) and to all the wonderful parents who helped out with transport and serving supper. We truly appreciate you!

I am sure that everyone is already looking forward to our next gathering in one month's time!

Captured!

Yes, the Flag was Captured - well done to both red and blue teams for an awesome, high-energy game of Capture the Flag on Saturday night!

There were some terrific ball skills displayed during Bench Ball, and most of us were baffled by Ruard's 'Are You an Artist?' game during supper. Hopefully the answers will be revealed next month!

Thanks to the Smith Brothers for a fabulous night, and to all our CHYPS Team for making it such a fun place to be. Also thanks heaps to Bee & Rachel who provided a scrummy supper!

Capture the Flag CHYPS

Join us this Saturday night for an epic game of Capture the Flag... along with some other fun games such as Bench Ball and Bodyguard, and some mind bending games at suppertime.

In the jungle...

Last CHYPS night our team had to pick a character or part of the jungle to act out, and we created a crazy jungle scene - complete with T-Rex and 'dirt'!

Other games we played were Biggest Fan Rock, Paper, Scissors; a highly competitive game of dodge-ball and 2 Truths, 1 Lie.

CHYPS Youth Group started off with an awesome bunch of young people, in school years 7 to 13.

We played Hovering Bunnies, Protect the President, and games which involved 'not following the crowd', but thinking about what the right thing to do was. We ended with our God time, in two groups (intermediate and senior) and a scrumptious supper (thanks to Sue and Belinda!)

Thanks also to our new minister Rev Anne Preston, who was such a great sport, joining in all the games (even 'Hovering Bunnies' - "Teeth! Teeth!") and helped with supper.

We also loved the new games - table soccer, pool and air hockey!
