Youth Church report

Youth Church last Sunday night was held at the Chapel Street Centre, and led by Siu and Philomena, with the help of the Youth Church Band, and a bunch of very willing volunteer actors! Siu went on a mission from God, journeying from Point A to Point C, coping with many hilarious challenges and distractions along the way.

Prayer time was creative - with a variety of prayer stations around the church, where each person could choose to pray in their own way, whether it be marking a place on a world map and praying silently for the people there, or making a play dough prayer (see photo below).

Supper was scrumptious - thanks to Moe, Merilyn and Sue!

Youth Service

The youth and young adults from Christchurch North Methodist Parish led the church service on Sunday. The theme was '3,2,1... UNITE!', based on the Ephesians 4:1-16 reading, One Body, Many Parts.

The young people planned, prepared and delivered an awesome service, leading the prayers, readings, reflection and worship music.

They did an outstanding job - the music in particular was fantastic, and there were many who were reaching for the tissues during the beautiful solo by Roslind. So moving.

Our next YOUTH Church service is coming up in a couple of weeks, hosted by Upper Riccarton Methodist Church cnr of Yaldhurst Rd and Brake Street.

Join us there for some good company, good music, good conversations and good food.

Church Camp Service

Sunday 30 July 10am at the Chapel Street Centre.

Join us for a relaxed, fun, informal worship service, led by a bunch of us who were at Church Camp in February. There will be awesome music, a Dr Seuss flavoured skit and video highlights from camp. You don't want to miss this!

CHYPS report

Our last CHYPS night saw our youth face off in a number of team challenges, from Rats & Rabbits to Horse & Jockey, finishing with a poster designing competition for our God Time - and a scrumptious supper!
